VOLUNTEERING

VOLUNTEERING

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Clarksburg Mission. Our Mission family is blessed beyond words by the generosity, hospitality and kindness of our volunteers. We are always grateful for their presence and support. We pray for you as you discern this invitation to service.

Below you will find the Volunteer Application, which is available to anyone that would like to be a general volunteer at the Clarksburg Mission. Options for general volunteering include sharing a specific skill or resource with the Mission, assisting with food rescue or clothing distribution, becoming a driver for Mission-related events and activities, or donating to volunteer needs.

There is a separate application for Volunteer Meal Providers (VMP). The VMP application is for any individual or organization that would like to provide/serve a meal or meals to the Mission family in the Dining Room at our 4th Street location. The application includes further details about serving options, including days/meal times.

Finally, if you are wanting to volunteer to complete community service hours, then please see the special application designated below.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Community Liaison at (304) 622–2451 or clarksburgmissionvolunteer@gmail.com. We are dedicated to serving those in need. Your commitment as a Mission volunteer can greatly contribute to the well-being of those who are seeking to reform their lives. Join us in our mission to make a difference in our community!

Meal Provider

As you may know, our kitchen was currently renovated thanks to many generous contributions made to the Levi Bender Project. We have a more spacious kitchen with updated appliances, all to help us in our services to those in need. This is an exciting time for us, and we want to share it with you! We invite you to take this opportunity to consider becoming a Volunteer Meal Provider.

Most of the meals currently provided to our Mission family are made by our kitchen staff. But prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all of our meals were provided by volunteers. We realize that the world has changed in many ways as a result of the pandemic, but we are looking forward and hoping to rekindle our friendships with volunteer groups from the community.

If you have never volunteered at the Clarksburg Mission, then we would love to have you share in our good work. Lives are transformed through our Resurrection Program! Come and see! If you have volunteered before but “It’s been a while,” then we would love to have you back to see our new kitchen and to get to know our Mission family again.

Submit our Volunteer Meal Provider form to get started! Our Community Liaison will contact you to schedule your volunteer service.

The Clarksburg Mission provides 50,000 meals, thousands of hygiene packs, life and recovery coaching and much more to thousands of men, women and children every year. It is your support that not only makes this ministry possible but also gives us great encouragement that we are not in this alone. Your contribution will put food on a table, provide work clothes for a resident, provide shelter, help maintain our facilities, provide support and critical care for our most vulnerable population and much more. No amount is too little.

The Clarksburg Mission’s sober living homes provide a critical housing option to those with a willingness and desire for a sober lifestyle. Many people cannot return safely to previous environments. The Mission’s sober living homes provide residents with a critical opportunity to reclaim their lives through honest, faithful and accountable living.
